What's God's desire for my life? Why am I here? What is my purpose?

God’s original purpose for our lives was to extend His ruler-ship to earth through mankind; His will is that our physical world here on earth would reflect His spiritual "Glory" (the full weight, or the fullest manifestation of a thing) in the heavenly realm. It has always been God’s plan to have the Kingdom of Heaven on earth; this was and is His immutable (unchanging) intent.  Jesus came to continue that intent that our Father had from the beginning; In fact it was the only purpose for Him to come.  And he himself was called the Word that was from the beginning. He was the embodiment of the original intent of God our Father. (John 1:1-17)(I John 1:1-7)(I John 2:24)

Jesus preached the gospel of the Kingdom of heaven, but His message had nothing to do with going to heaven. The truth is He preached the opposite. Jesus preached that heaven was coming to earth and was in fact all ready here on earth; He came to restore it to mankind. Jesus told us that this is why He had come, to bring us the understanding of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, so we could overcome the world. Not be rescued from it. He emphasized this message when He taught His disciples to pray” This is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed by the name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”(Matthew 6:9-10)

Notice in this message that He didn’t tell His disciples to pray that they would go to heaven; He told them to pray that the Kingdom of God would come from heaven to earth. He was clear that our focus was not to get to heaven, but to have heaven’s power in our daily lives here on earth.  That is what is so cool about His message. We have the Kingdom now. We don’t have to wait until we go to heaven to have health, wealth, and liberty from this worlds system. It is inside of us right now!! (John 16:33)(I John 4:4)(I John 5:4-5)

It is very clear by the over 100 direct references to the Kingdom in the four gospels that this was Jesus’ sole purpose in coming, and it was the message that He left for us to preach!

It is amazing that you can read the bible with so many filters that you entirely miss what it is saying. I have been told so many things about why Jesus was here and what he accomplished on the Earth and what we have been commissioned to do, not to mention the focus of the body as a whole toward leaving the earth! But being able to overcome personal filters and actually reading the bible for what it really says is amazing - and often not what others have told me in the past. Jesus himself, in his prayer to the Father in John 17, specifically asks the Father NOT to take those that belong to him out of the world, but to keep them in it! And not only for his direct disciples that walked the earth with him, but for everyone who would ever believe in him. Just reading the prayer that Jesus prayed from his heart in regard to us is amazing, and if you let it, can change the way you see things - and ultimately change your life!

Wouldn't it be amazing if Christians all started to think about Dominion on Earth, as well as life in Heaven?

We'd turn the world upside down!

I think that more of them will when they see that Jesus came to bring a governing influence. He came to restore power into our hands, not to set up a religion. We are sons of God, that are citizen of the Kingdom of God, that are chosen to be ambassadors!

He told us to take the nations of the world and make them one nation in His Kingdom through blessing. He said that all the nation of the earth would be empowered by His nation. He told us to make disciples of nations, hmmmm... that is a lost art it seems if you look at the body today. He gave us power!! Real tangiable power to change lives by grace and righteousness.

Thanks John for your comments! It is good to hear about what God is doing through others. Grace and peace be with you!! Hope to hear back form you soon!

It is rare to see someone teach the truth. We can do nothing unless by Him.
