Without the Holy Spirit there is no authority and power. He is the Power arm of the God Head. After all He is God’s Spirit.

It is true that He would “come upon” not “ resided in” those in the Old Testament, but because of mans condemnation and self righteousness He could not stay until man could see that God loved him that He provided Himself (God) as a living sacrifice in Jesus Christ. This sacrifice was independent of mans' self effort and was an act of God to remove condemnation.

You see we are condemned when we see that we cannot help but fail in our own strength. We see that without God we can do nothing, because every time we try it independently, our own works fail or end up empty. So God showed us that it is His desire to have us prosper and always win, but only through His power in us. Not independent power that always leaves us empty. The lack of connection with God leaves us with emptiness that cannot be filled by our own efforts. It can only be filled by God’s efforts through us. We where design only to be fulfilled when His power is moving through us. When He is with us we realize that He wants us to use His power to make His will come to pass. This is the message of the Kingdom of God.

Wow! . Powerful revelation knowledge . I honor what God is doing in your heart ,because it is very similar to the revelation I received from God over the last ten years .The world is saved by the Blood . The Word is very clear on that .Jesus did not only die to save the world from sin . He also died in order to give you a powerful new life as king and priest in His Kingdom on earth . You need the wine and the bread . Many Christians never advance past the wine . To be "born from above" , that is what the Greek word mean ,is to receive the understanding to take up your new Life in the Kingdom . People that fail to do it does not go to hell . The Blood saved them from sin .They will however need to reign on this earth to be fulfilled . They will need this knowledge even after they have died . They will go to the 10 cities to learn it from those you have used the opportunity to walk in the power of the Kingdom of God ,while they were alive on earth . It sound strange . The reason is that people have so many wrong doctrins in theit minds that they strugle to understand the basic Grace and Love of God for all people . Be Blessed , In Him Bertus

OK, so you're saying we just go on about our lives, not deliberately giving a thought to God (Regardless of Col. 3:1 among many), until a revelation of His love suddenly breaks through on us, and even then we just go on in our own (carnal) way, assuming that either anything godly is going to be forced upon us or else God is going to just arbitrarily pronounce our carnality "righteous?" You mention people "bragging" about loving God- Is it also possible for someone who does love God to confess to that fact giving God the glory for being so love-able?

Why do we as Christian and those who love God continue to create more debt.
The debt was paid, yes. But that doesn't mean run a tab. What of repentance? What of Judgment? Where is the love returned if not in out new life and action?
Belief doesn't make the Lord your tool.
